TIA 2021 VIRTUAL! IS OPEN

Tournament Indoor Association will hold virtual events for all member units from Saturday, March 6, through Saturday, May 1. (Note: NO events will be scheduled for Saturday, April 3–Easter Weekend) Unit directors must register by 6:00 PM on the preceding Sunday.

Color Guards, Twirlers, Dance Teams, Marching and Stationary Percussion, Marching Winds, and Jazz Bands are all welcome to participate in the TIA 2021 VIRTUAL! events.

Tournament recognizes that the nine states, hundreds of counties and communities, and all member school districts all have specific regulations and guidelines for student participation, rehearsals, and performances during the current COVID-19 pandemic. Tournament supports unit directors and performing units in whatever format is possible. The safety and health of the unit is of most importance as groups encourage participation and foster growth in the activities that we all cherish.

Thank you to the unit directors, staff, supporters and boosters, along with the participants, for continued support for the activities that Tournament Indoor Association offers. We look forward to a season of virtual performances filled with enjoyment and educational value for all involved.

TIA Region Coordinators emailed details and registration link to members last week.

TIA 2021 VIRTUAL! PREPARATION

Over the last two evenings, dozens of National Judges Association members met to prepare for the upcoming TIA 2021 VIRTUAL! season.

Units will be evaluated by an NJA evaluation team consisting of two individuals who have worked through general and practicum educational sessions, where criteria, methods, and outcomes will be presented and demonstrated.

Building on the success of the TOB 2020 VIRTUAL! season for marching bands, TIA will again utilize zoom software to provide a safe and affordable alternative to the traditional season by using a virtual setting.

Unit directors are encouraged to visit NJAEDUCATION2 for more information as well as keeping in contact with region coordinators who have received details for distribution to membership.
